HOW TO APPLY

Request the Position Identification Document

The Position Identification Document (PID) will provide you with information about the duties involved, and the knowledge and skills required to perform the role.

To request a PID, please visit our vacancies page.

Alternatively, you can send an email to vacancies@cccsa.org.au stating the position you are looking to apply for and the location.

Essential Selection Criteria

The Essential Selection Criteria is outlined in the PID. It is a list of skills, abilities, experience, qualifications and personal attributes that are essential to achieve high performance in the role.

To simplify the recruitment process, PID’s provide a list of Selection Criteria Questions for candidates to address when applying for a position. These questions allow the selection panel to make a fair assessment of your ability to meet the requirements of the role and is used to shortlist applicants for an interview.

Please Note: Applications that do not address the Selection Criteria may not be considered.

How to address the Selection Criteria Questions

The Selection Criteria Questions can be found on the last page of the PID.

The points below should help you with your application:

  • It is important that each criteria is individually addressed; highlighting the experience and skills you have to meet each point, using practical examples where possible.
  • It is preferred that each question be addressed using a separate heading, this allows the selection panel to easily assess responses against other applicants.
  • When addressing criteria, do not refer to your resume. If you have relevant experience or skills, ensure you detail this in your response.

There is no word limit when addressing each point, however is it recommended that you be as concise as possible, while still answering each point.

Your application

When submitting your application please provide the following:

  • Cover letter
  • Current resume
  • Responses to Selection Criteria Questions
  • Names and contact numbers for at least three current professional referees

Important! Applications received that do not include each of the above points may not be considered.

Applications will be assessed against the selection criteria for suitability for the position. All applicants will be contacted regarding whether they have been shortlisted to interview. This process may occur via telephone or email. Interviews will be conducted and an offer of employment made to the preferred candidate.
