What is homelessness?

If you do not have a safe, secure, affordable place to live, then you are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

You could be experiencing homelessness because:

  • You are not able to keep up with your rent payments.
  • You are experiencing violence at home.
  • Your family has asked you to leave.
  • Your current home is seriously overcrowded.
  • People are threatening your children or other family members.
