The StandBy Response Service is a community based program that provides a 24-hour coordinated response to assist families, friends, associates and witnesses who have been bereaved through suicide.
The program offers telephone or face-to-face support, regardless of when or where the suicide occurred.
Support is delivered by trained and qualified StandBy Coordinators and Crisis Response Team members.
Depending on client needs, StandBy arranges for follow-on support from existing local services and groups, or simply provides information and links to other available services.
The StandBy Response Service covers all of Country SA’s Northern Region.
